Great job on the car. Obvoiusly, you want to take out the seats. They are usless in the application of your car. What I did in this situation was to strip out everything behind the front seats. Seats, carpet, padding were all taken out and discarded (seats might get you something at a swap meet). I then sanded off the floor and continued the paint job from the exterrior. I had a racing stripe off center that went rom hood to trunk. So I decided to paint the interrior as the exterrior. My car was only a primer type of cover under the carpet and padding. I hired someone to paint the inside wo match the outside, becuase I can't paint for crap. After everythign was said and done, it looked decent. I then installed my audio equiptment. *REMEMBER* there may come a time when you need to transport someone in the back, tires rubbing or not (example: my wife in labor who had to by lying down). I suggest keeping some kind of restraint like seatbelts back there in case of an unforseen emergency. Or keep the seats.
Good luck.
