that was my first thought about them...."25 guys in robs singing happy songs like fanatics" really scares me...the first time I heard of them I was totally annoyed about those happy-forever-bastards-spreading-love-all-around...I was hoping for a massive suicide in a sect style. Being into bands like radiohead, sigur-rós, mogwai and GY!BE, starting to like TPS make me feel somehow "weak"...but then I was captivated by the symphonic pop style of "suitcase calling" (from the second album "together we are heavy")...and I realized that maybe happiness is not that bad
so give them a try, at least their second album...(the only one i've heard)
