I don't know if any of you have ever played Golden Sun II on GBA, but there's this one temple where the boss is a giant snake that in order to beat you have to go do something above him in the temple ( don't remember exactly what ) but it weakens him according to the storyline. Basically if you don't do it then the boss has infinite health no matter how long you fight him. However, not knowing this I must have wasted around 3 hours repetively trying to beat him until I gave up. I came back a week later and just wandered around to find something else I could do and ended up finding out what you have to do to weaken him. Not a huge blunder like gamesaves or erasing anything, but still wasted time plus I felt pretty stupid.
