Your FFX story reminds me of the hell I went through in that game trying to get everyone's ultimate weapons. See, I usually try and get the most out of my rpg's, I do every side quest (at least within reason, otherwise I'd still be playing Baldur's Gate), get all the best weapons, etc. However, getting the ultimate weapons in FFX had you doing the most ridiculous things ever. Dodging 200 lightning bolts in a row was horribly, I got to 178 then mistimed the button press and got hit. I almost broke the controller. Likewise, having to get 0 seconds or less in that fucking chocobo had me pulling my hair out. I sat there for hours doing that damn race over and over until I finally did it, managed to dodge the birds and get most of the balloons whilst shutting out the other rider. Afterwards, I thought I'd puke if I ever rode a chocobo again. I gave up trying to get everyone's ultimate weapon, just wasn't worth it. Otherwise it was a fun game.
