My SO and I might have never met had it not been for my best friend's birthday party...to which he hadn't even been invited! He was on holiday in my country and I had just got back into town from rehearsing with my band, and was pretty exhausted. It was 1am and I still had to go to the party...if it hadn't been my best friend's b'day I wouldn't have gone. So I went to meet everyone in a bar, and he was there, he'd come with some friends of ours, he was staying at their house. Nothing happened all night, we had drinks, went out, danced, but we barely even spoke. I had my eye on him though...he has the cutest blue sparkling eyes and cheeky grin

I got totally smashed and at the end of the night got driven back to the friend's house he was staying at. Everyone went to sleep and such and he stayed up with me, just talking...I'm a really difficult person and didn't want to get involved, but he got the better of me and after talking for hours he kissed me. We watched the sunrise together and kissed, and then we fell asleep. When we woke up he treated me like a princess and we spent the rest of the week together.

Then he left for England, but a year later (we kept in touch by net and visited each other 4 times) he came to live with me. We're very happy and living together now with our two cats

Whether we write or speak or do but look
We are ever unapparent. What we are
Cannot be transfused into word or book.
Our soul from us is infinitely far.
However much we give our thoughts the will
To be our soul and gesture it abroad,
Our hearts are incommunicable still.
In what we show ourselves we are ignored.
The abyss from soul to soul cannot be bridged
By any skill of thought or trick of seeming.
Unto our very selves we are abridged
When we would utter to our thought our being.
We are our dreams of ourselves, souls by gleams,
And each to each other dreams of others' dreams.
