I met my wife when I auditioned for a play in first year University... When I walked into the audition her smiling face was the first thing I saw... She was supposed to be the stage manager but the director cast her in the play (Christopher Durang's Titanic).
One evening after rehearsal, the cast went for beer and we were seated next to each other... when our knees touched she didn't pull her knee away. It was a little thing but it didn't go unnoticed.
She had to walk home alone because her roommate (also in the play) was going out. I offered to walk her home. It was the middle of winter in a very chilly Ottawa. Once we reached her place we had tea and I crashed on her couch for the night...
We started dating shortly after and have been together for over 16 years now (married over 11).
