Looking through their help section and I see this:

Q. Do I need a PayPal Account to pay for an eBay item?
A. Yes. [more blah blah blah]

Right above that:

Q. I paid through PayPal without opening an account. Can I sign up now?
A. Yes. [blah blah blah]

Mkay.. which is it?

Also, sorry, don't mean to sound so "pissed", but I've been up for a loooooooooong time.. and I can't think straight, so it wouldn't surprise me if I totally just missed the spot where you just pay.
