We met in a pool hall too! He came up to me. I was sitting alone drawing on my hand, and he asked me to play a game with him. I said, "No thanks," and he persisted, "Aw, come on, just one game?" I replied again, "No, and by the way, how old are you?" He says, "I'm 23, and you?" "I'm 30, and have a 10 year old daughter," "So, just one game?" He persists again. "No, I don't have a competitive nature." I say.
Well, I ended up playing with him after he begged a few more times. After I won one game, we finished our drinks, and headed over to my place where we sat and listened to Belle and Sebastian, "Boy with the Arab Strap" and I painted his fingernails sky blue. Then, we made out, hard. So hard that I felt the need to slow it down a bit, so I asked him, "Ummm, do you canoe?" "What?" he asked. "Canoe!!" I said. I have a friend that lives on a private lake where there are several canoes. "Uhhh, okay?" He hesitantly replied. So we went and picked up some hard lemonade, and went canoeing. Well, the kissing started again, and before I knew what to do, we tipped the canoe right over. Lemonade gone, my shoes, gone. We dragged the canoe to shore, but didn't find my shoes. Luckily, my friend’s house was near by, so we went in and turned on his sauna in an attempt to get out clothes dry, to no avail. So, we went back to his place where we stripped from our wet clothing, put on t-shirts??? (I don't remember) and went to sleep. We had left a trail of clothing, and to this day, his friends/roommates joke about how all they saw was the trail of clothes leading to his room. (heeheehee) And yes Jack, we did do it!!!
To make a long story short, we fell madly in love, and were married two years later. It was the most romantic night of my entire life, and to this day, a match, perfected only in heaven.
