I think it's less that Porn drives new technology than it is the fact that the porn industry seems to latch onto and popularize new techonologies before anyone else. VHS, DVD, the internet, CD-ROM, etc. Imagine if the porn industry had decided to go with Beta-Max instead of VHS....
