I assume this is a thread about the things you do for them, whether or not they really notice? Apart from a nice phone message every now and then, I:
- If she cooks I always tell her I love it, and although she often knows I'm having fun, she also knows that I absolutely love her cooking. If I pay her a complement, and she passes it off as a joke, I'll let her know that I really mean it.
- I make sure the shower's the right temperature first, and then let her in first. I get out of the shower first and hold a towel out, ready to wrap around her and give her a big bear hug when she steps out. Every time.
- I always give her a lollipop (Americans call them suckers?) if I go over to her house to pick her up.
- I keep her computer free of viruses and spyware, although it always seems to come back again a few days later, no matter how foolproof I make it...
- I re-adjust her seat/steering wheel/mirrors when I'm finished driving her car.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
