We also do that. Whenever i am out of town/country we keep a little journal for eachother so that we can know what went on in eachothers lives those days. Another thing we do is also when we go away is we write eachother a little letter for every day that we are going to be apart. Then we are not allowed to read ahead. Gives you something to look forward to every day.
Another things is I take her someplace nice every 13th of the month. I told her I love her on the 13th of July, and we celebrate it once a month.
