I like to buy him little just-because treats when I'm out grocery shopping, things he probably wouldn't buy for himself that I know he'll enjoy. Used to be marshmallow peeps or swedish fish, but now that he's on Atkins, it's steak cutlets with feta, spinach and pine nuts, or some low-carb ice cream.
Sometimes before I leave for a long business trip I'll hide a sweet card under his pillow, or in his book where he'll find it.
