You've said you're already going to the gym, but are you doing highweight/low reps? That is essential. If you really want to put on the mass eliminate all cardio and just do highweight/low reps. You need to do this at least 4 times a week in my non-professional opinion, but not everyday because your muscles need time to repair.
Also, people have been advising fast food. Fast food is good for raw calories, but it wil make you feel really crappy you eat it too much. What you need to do eat large portions of good food like tuna sandwhiches, steaks, chicken, fish, pasta, etc and then top every meal off with either a "mass gainer" or a whey protein shake. Also note that when you take these shakes you need to drink lots of water because they dehydrate you.
Bottom line:
Highweight/low rep workout + high calorie meals w/shakes = mass gain.
