As Maleficent says, in many areas you can hire people to be your part-time personal chef -- either they cook a week's worth in advance, or you negotiate with them what they're to cook (or drop off) on any particular day.
We had a great business in my town for a while that was sort of a retail personal chef business. They cooked all sorts of things fresh -- main dishes, vegetable dishes, sauces, casseroles, etc. -- and then froze them one-to-four portion sizes. You walked into their store and picked out everything you'd need for a dinner, or several dinners. They'd advise you on the best way to warm it, what went best with what, and so on. All very reasonable, and fresh. Damn that place was popular. They later gave up the retail and concentrated on catering, though.
