In that case, if you're planning on running the wireless network, I personally recommend getting
this puppy as the core of your home network. It will handle DHCP to hand out IP addresses to your computers (set them all to dynamically acquire IPs), it will run the wireless access point to get your downstairs computers on the network, and when you get your DSL modem, plug the DSL modem into the uplink of the router - and you should be good to go.
