I think a lot of it all comes from being able to sense either sarcasm, or just someone that is too pissed to think straight, and brush it off. Some people stay away from topics that they know get them riled up...like Politics...you won't see much of me in there. Others still have to figure that out, and they are usually pretty easy to pick out of the crowd.
Civil arguments are fun, really. Usually, somebody (typically both parties) learn something, and have an increased respect for the others' knowledge, provided that they actually had a clue as to what they were talking about...and that usually shines through as well. If you have a clue, you'll make sense, and not talk in circles so much. You probably won't contradict yourself, either. If you have no clue, the previous statement is false in your case.
I love this place, I have about seven sublevels that I frequent in here, and a couple more that I peek in to, just for fun. I want to poke around more, but am afraid that I'll see something that just trips my trigger, and go off and have a freakin' caniption!
Anyways...have fun, y'all. Keep it civil, respect others, and above all...KNOW YOUR LIMITATIONS! Meaning, know what will piss you off, and avoid it, if you can't stay civil about it. It really is that simple.
