I don't really believe in any of those things. Especially aliens, as I have a friend who claimed to have had aliens walking in his room 5 times.
Upon further investigation I found that what he described was basically incubus. The aliens were simply the most realistic form of dream. You'll notice that in almost every case of abduction the victim is pinned down and unable to move.
Oh, and in case your wondering, incubus is a state of mind named after the demon that it was blamed on by Christians. Basically you feel that you are trapped in your body. It almost always results in a horrifying episode. My friend described that he was frozen in fear at the sight of the completely dead eyes of the alien. This almost certainly has an underlying meaning, but I'm don't really know enough about the area to say.
