I don't know that it
has to be that way. I do know that with such amenities as air conditioning, people tend to spend more time inside their homes. Gone are the days of sitting out on your front porch waving to George and Martha, as they sit on their front porch, enjoying a bit of cool summer breeze and a glass of iced tea, or lemonade. We have stereo's, TV's, VCR's, DVD player's, home entertainment systems, and a host of other items, in our homes, designed to keep us from interacting with our fellow human beings. For every positive, there is a negative. Yin and Yang. It's just the universe trying to keep balance.
