I saw this today and thought it was quite amazing. Unfortuantley, it seems there were
theatrical releases and so i've only seen the
shortened version which went for about 130 mins (it seems they culled about 45 minutes of footage

)
That said, i thought the story and events where still quite
complete and thorough enough to get everything across.

Spoiler:
As for the ending, although it turned things on it's head, i was actually saying/thinking "shoot them" as kidman was talking to caan in the car, about what she was going to do. But, i thought it was justified because the towns people bought it on themselves, and altohugh a rather tragic end, such is human behaviour. Also, a nice point that the dog, whose bone got stolen at the start of the movie, was the soel survivor of the town.
The movie definitely got me thinking about a lot of things, but unfortunatley i watched it by myself this afternoon, so i haven't had a whole lot of people to discuss it with yet
i am also interested in seeing more Von Trier stuff now, but it may be hard to come by
