beer month. i like it...i like being given an official reason to drink beer. i like feeling like i am celebrating something Bigger as i do it.
like many folk, i do not drink much american beer---except for yuengling lager, which is ok if you are not feeling terribly affluent. and if it is cold. some microbrews are good--i like omegang--some yards--and that some good ones are only available regionally--like ipswich ale.
my favorites are belgian. i really love aachel. but there are lots.
were it not late morning on a monday, i would hoist a watery american brine to delayedreaction for the joke.
i know the guy who claims to have invented the pbr-and-a-shot-of-jack special.
he is in philadelphia.
someday, this claim will get etched in stone, and put on the history walk at penns landing, along with any number of other such claims to fame for the city.
like that philadelphia invented mustard.
