Norway's best annual music event, the Quart Festival, takes place in Odderøya. It has been held every year since 1992 and has a reputation for being more chilled-out than many European festivals, despite the fact that it annually attracts up to 80,000 people.
Old trees fill the beautiful park where the festival is held and it is possible to take a swim after a spot of sunbathing.
Or you can just have a root on stage.
