I'd like to try fly fishing, but I don't really have the gear. If I had to guess, I'd expect to be able to find a decent rod and reel for $75-$150, plus other smaller stuff. I'll have to see what crap my dad has lying around. He doesn't fly fish really, but I bet he has a fly rod in the garage. I wouldn't need weighters if I fished from the bank, but that's part of the experience, isn't it?
I'm going to start simple enough. My plan is to try and go this weekend. Hopefully I'll have something to report.
