Marcus: I personally prefer ATI cards, but that's just a bias. In looking at the benchmarks, they are usually very similar to nVidia. I don't really know why I prefer ATI. Maybe I'm an elitist bastard. Yeah, that's probably it.
Either way you go, though, you'll be fine. I wouldn't recommend spending the extra $100 for the XT or the 6850, because the performance increase isn't (in my opinion) worth that much. On the other hand, you would have some serious bragging rights.
