If they are good boots, no.

I've spent 150$ US on Redwing workboots and have never regretted it. (This after having cheap steeltoes that hurt at the end of the day.)

Now I personally think that spending 150$ on sneakers is foolish (I get mine at Walmart for 30$), but if that's what makes you happy, go for it.
