I taught an entire "poetry" unit, last year, based on the lyrics of songs. It is amazing how many of my students thought lyrics, such as the above, were "good" as they talk about "fighting back" and "making money." These were mostly Hispanic and Caucasian middle schoolers. Don't even begin to think this is a "black" issue.
If this guy is allowed to make $3million -- shouldn't some of it go toward his daily support? After all, it
costs a lot of money to provide for those in prison.
