rewire, rewire, and then rewire some more. I made the terrible mistake a couple of years ago of having a shop install my alarm. they made a total hash of it. Wires are dangling all over the place under the dash, they disconnected the driving lights, and somehow they got it so when I honk the horn, the hazards flash. This is doubly puzzling since it's a siren, not a horn alarm.
Never got around to fixing it yet, but this summer the dash gets disassembled and all new wiring run, neatly this time. That'll probably take up most of the summer right there based on how slow I work
