Seriously, I know that crime itself hasn't gone up, but what about the violent shit like this. I know that it gets a lot more press now than it used to, but we didn't have gangstas, and wannabes, when I was groing up in the 70's. We didn't have anything even close to the kind of crap that my daughter tells me about every day from school. Back then...we actually feared/respected authority figures.

Because back then authority figures could do something. Now-a-days if a parent even yells at their child in a store because they're misbehaving people are all over them.
I remember stories my dad told me when he was in school of when the vice principle would slap a kid around if he fucked up, and half the time the kid would beg him not to tell his parents because he knew it would be worse at home.
Now-a-days, there's no punishment in schools, let alone at home. Hell, a large amount of parents just don't care. Those are the useless fucks that a responsible.

One day an Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irishman walked into a pub together. They each bought a pint of Guinness. Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"
