Well, if people are going to plug their favourite Bit Torrent clients, I'll recommend
ABC . It has configurable traffic limits, in both directions, even across multiple torrents (I'd been looking for this feature for quite a while), and it has a nice, configurable, and informative interface.
Although, I'm susprised that the client you tried didn't work for you,
sixate. One must always wonder why an application that works for many other people mysteriously doesn't work for you, especially considering your previous client worked just fine (I'm assuming)...
