I have to agree that Event Horizon was a freaky movie. The Ring was also a very creepy movie, as was Mothman Prophecies. That damn movie had me freaked out for days. I got to doing some research on the net about it afterwards, and that just made it worse.. /quietly locks those memories back into the vault.../tosses key. Another movie that had me jumping was The Others. It wasn't scary at all, it was just one of those BOOOM make you jump kind of movies in places.
I've never been a huge fan of the genre. Particularly the "hack and slash" freddy/jason style movies, so I can't give much comment on those.
