The 20k is chicken feed that they spend on the show. The advertising dollars that they collect is much much more.

It's bandied about here at the office that for every $1 MTV spends they get back $2 on a consistent regular basis.

As for doing community works. Viacom (MTV Networks parent company) spends PLENTY of time, effort, and money on such things even encouraging their employees to volunteer their time.

Apparently you are looking to work in the same industry, and let me tell you there's plenty of wasted money, but also there's plenty of collected monies.

As for them Pimping your college education, well, they will, if you are en employee they have a VERY generous tuition reimbersment program, along with mentoring groups, and other developmental programs.

If you are in the NYC area, I'd be happy to show you just how much they try to bring it to the people and the employees.
