I thought it was Kaufman's best film to date. I almost never cry at movies and this one actually choked me up. It was touching and heart-wrenching. It's just an excellent example of what you can do with a film without explosions, sex, crooked cops, sex with exploding crooked cops, etc. Absolutely one of the best screenplays I've seen in years.
