Richard D James is an amazing artist. (That is the one and only behind Aphex Twin, as well as many other side projects).
The pop stuff (which isn't really pop
) he makes is incredibly inspiring, and his more experimental is completely... mental... and yet, if you listen, there is always something ingenious to hear.
I never really like to put people down... but Oakenfold and BT are complete morons in the shadow of Mr James. Simple, formula based, boring music for simple minds. Not that music needs to be chaotic or incredibly complex to be good, and alot of Aphex Twins's material shows that as well.
