I like the 2.3 turbo 4-banger in my Thunderbird just because it's so different, and surprises the hell out of people who ride in it when I tell em the engine it has.
It will certainly move.
However I like the DOHC 4.6 V8 in my Mark VIII a lot more. When it comes to engines in everyday cars, you just can't beat a V8 for smoothness, low end torque, and the sound.
