Why is it that so many domestic enthusiasts say idiotic things like this? You mean the Lotus Elise is crap? What about the Porsche 968 Turbo S, which was 305hp, 369 lb-ft of torque, and did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of over 175mph. But I guess it's crap too because you can count the four cylinders on one hand.
The Offenhauser Indy engine was an engine for race cars, and it was 4cyl.
Most of the WRC cars are 4 cyl.
The BMW Turbo F1 engine is 4cyl, and developed 1400hp in qualification trim.
I seem to recall a certain 4 cyl turbocharged mustang in the 80's that was faster than hell.
Statements like that just make the poster look like he doesn't know jack about cars.
