When my male friend and I spent the night together I reacted in a similar way. Mainly I was worried about him driving drunk and tried to force him to sleep here. I was so drunk that I honestly hadn't realized I was rude and nasty to him when he said he was leaving. Good thing he's the forgiving sort.
One hint : don't push the homework off until the end of the weekend. Get it done first so you have a more relaxing time and more time to spend having fun.
