My last update (3/5) was pretty big. I'm just guessing, but I would imagine with all the virus paranoia running rampant and the size of this update their servers are probably jammed tight.
I couldn't get through either at first, so I browsed around and found this...

4- Now when you open AVG and update you'll have three choices instead of the usual one in the drop down box. One of them is bound to work
