It's a terrible situation.
I don't know about other Americans, but I follow this quite closely. I too was disgusted that a small group of Ultra right protestants halted peace in favor of more bloodshed and killing, especially when it is SO VERY CLOSE!
Northern Ireland has suffered so long, it is hard NOT to get angry at these people for, what is to me, an unconcienable choice. And to do it along so called 'religious' lines is obscene IMO.
