just about anything with a fullsized keyboard and pressure-sensitive keys is good for a beginner. To learn, grab some piano books, throw the keyboard in piano mode, and start playing. Just takes practice. Just keep in mind that before you can start wailing on the keyboards like you see in rock/jazz bands, you gotta learn how to play chopsticks
