Hmmm.... I can't say I believe in karma, or the general of idea of what goes around comes around. I do believe that if a person acts like an asshole, he will be treated, sooner or later, as one, but that does not mean what goes around comes around, because you could potentially act like an asshole for a month, move elsewhere and be Mr Perfect. Ok, far-fetched, but you get the idea.
I don't really "believe" in justice either, in the sense that I don't think it really exists. Morals, ethics, even right/wrong are man-made illusions. A man takes a chainsaw to a schoolgirl, this is a crime, a cat plays with a dying bird and leaves it to suffer, this is nature. Whatever.
I do believe in fabricating justice by delivering death sentences and that sort of thing, but I'd be far pushed to call it actual justice. Just actions and reactions based on what morals the society holds true currently.
As for revenge, I've done some minor shit, but I don't think I've ever really done anything that the person I did it to did not find out about. I don't see the thrill of doing something and never having them know it was me. That seems cowardly to me, in a way. If you want to avenge something, do it out in the open, don't sneak in the darkness of the night stabbing holes into things or keying cars.
I used to be a very bitter and vengeful person. I'm trying to work my way out of that, and more often than not I just forgive and move on, but never forget. I trust people once, not twice. There are too many good people out there for me to waste my time on the subpar ones.
