The Avalanche has made serious inquiries to the Washington Capitals about trading for goalie Olaf Kolzig and defenseman Sergei Gonchar, a source familiar with the negotiations said Sunday.
The Capitals, the source said, have asked for Avalanche defenseman Derek Morris in return and another young prospect and/or draft choices. The NHL trading deadline is March 9.

I'm not sure what I think about this one. Kinda hate to see Morris go if the deal happens.
