‘When they go low, we go with the flow’: Dems ramp up attacks on Trump

Trump Turned the Democratic Party Into a Pitiless Machine

Damn, they've finally figured it out.
When the bullies are hitting you and yelling, "stop hitting me" at the same time...it's a ploy for the teachers "watching".
Hit 'em back...and hit them hard. And if you can, hit them again and again.

It's a lesson learned by anyone that's survived Jr. high school.

No need to be the adults in the room, when there's shooters (GOP) wandering the halls.
Get the hell out...or even better, shoot back.

Bullies and crazies will never learn otherwise...or not be around to hurt others.

They want to take over the nation, any means to an end, now's the time to not be polite and discrete.
To save the nation, call them out, hurt them where it counts.

I doubt they'll learn. But at least then they won't destroy/warp the nation and all the people within.
(much less the world...that would like letting a nutter have a bazooka , we're still very powerful, whether led by quality or not)

I hope that Biden & his team are making certain the Secret Service, the National Guard, & other LEAs are prepared for the election, the time between the election and the certification, & the certification.

The crackdowns need to be fast, thorough, & zero tolerance.

Hillary Clinton Listens to DNC Crowd Chants "Lock Him Up" About Trump | C-SPAN.org

Revenge is a dish best eaten cold.

I'm sure it feels awesome to her.

Why do the Dems eat their own?? Hillary. Biden. Franken. so many thrown under the bus.

Wonder if Harris will ask Hillary to be Secretary of the State again??
Now THAT would piss off the GOP.
And make some bad players on the world stage quake. (including Putin. He doesn't like Hillary)

    Hmmm...

At least they have seemed to learn their lesson finally. They aren't playing around anymore.

Please leave Hillary at home. To put it simply people do not like Hillary Clinton.

It was the backlash against her arrogance & sense of entitlement, which was a large part of The 2016 Perfect Storm of Discontent, that gave us NPD Trump.

Yep, get ready for mud slinging and target practice on REAL corruption in US campaigns.
They're going to go down kicking and screaming

‘He’s got to pay a price’: Unaired footage reveals Nancy Pelosi’s Jan. 6 fury

No shit! I'd be pissed and on the warpath too.
If a huge gang showed up to my house and threatened violence, damaged everything and put literal shit on my office stuff...I'd want heads to roll too.
Y'think??? ANY person would, in their right mind.

Much less, if that person was the head of the damned legislative body. (with some power and influence)
    * oh yeah, 3rd in line to be prez, right after the VP

AND you knew who started it all, because you watched as they went on national TV and encouraged it. A duh assumption.

So, if this Red Queen sez off with his head...y'know she's pissed and rightly so.

It would've been nice to have Pelosi & McConnell (remember his intense attack on Trump?) together damning NPD Trump for his actions & inaction.

Edit: I'm having a hard time finding McConnell's speech immediately after the Jan 06 attack. Am I wrong that it was him, or has the speech been buried by the news media?

Well, he's considered "dead on arrival" since his freezes, so not news worthy.
Also, it's always been his and the GOPs inclination to suppress and bury that speech, since it doesn't agree with the byline of the Election denial...and it would piss off Chump.
So, unless the Dems or a paper want to bring it up again, to play "gotcha" or prove a point...It's going to linger in limbo and be at the bottom of any search engine result.

Democrats Are Already Buzzing About a Merrick Garland Successor
Yes, for whatever reason...MG let justice linger and put trust into the wrong people.
And let the conservative biased FBI, if not co-conspirators drag things out and obfuscate to make it all a fog...hoping it fades and dies, to their "side's" benefit.

We need an AG more on top of things and more proactive and aggressive within reason, discretion and diplomacy. (much less, law and legalities)
He spoke softly...but forgot to use his Big Stick.

I'm hoping Harris, with her prosecution expertise, will be able to pick a really good replacement.
Like Biden, MG should enjoy retirement. (a good man, just not a good AG)

    McConnell seemed
    extremely clear-minded
    at the time.

The most condemning attack on Trump,
made by the most powerful Republican in Washington,
    gets buried.
    TPTB are...powerful.

China boi McConnell dismissed it as a knee jerk angry response. Which are two reasons why it's surpringly so truthful.

Part of me says Merrick Garland should be shown respect, and be allowed to resign, with the obligatory praise (partially accurate) for his service.

Part of me says Tortoise Garland should be publicly dismissed, with wording the DOJ needs more aggressive leadership.

Yesterday I was considering starting a not-too-serious thread about how the official statement regarding his departure could be worded.

    Edit, from the linked article...

"But it is his handling of Trump’s conduct surrounding the 2020 election, leading up to Jan. 6 itself, that overshadows all the rest. The department could — and should — have investigated Trump quickly and aggressively after he left office, but that is not what happened. The delay in getting the investigation of Trump’s conduct up and running in earnest, coupled with the subsequent and repeated trial delays following Trump’s indictment, have created a situation in which the country now finds itself facing the distinct possibility that Trump will return to power at least in part thanks to Garland’s failure to act quickly enough."

    ^ This!!
Tortoise Garland's inexcusable delays allowed many things to happen, the chief one being giving SCOTUS plenty of time to find ways to protect NPD Trump.

How Democrats lost so many votes in the 2024 presidential race - WTOP News

Because they cheated...or cheating was done for them...cheating galore.
    Don't be fooled.

Russia, China, ...basically the BRIC nations, and other groups, including the radical right who's been planning this for years

Nothing turns on a dime, not that complete. That's just not realistic in this day and age.
What?? The polls were wrong completely all over?
What?? The swing states didn't swing, but went completely the other way?
What?? The groups that normally support Dems, went completely the other way?
What?? Not even a blip against Chump and the GOP??

    Something is fishy in Denmark.
    Smells to high heaven.

All the while Chump, trying to act surprised...and also smiling like a Cheshire Cat...like someone got away with murder and has a poor arrogant poker face.

But this is what the Dems did do wrong...
    1. You threw your first candidate under the bus. And some voters didn't even know Harris was running. Truth.

    2. They assumed a lot of things...and despite smoke coming from a lot of place, let it burn or didn't go looking for the fire. (Musk PAYING for votes and gets away with it??? Russia making bomb threats in Georgia?? All Facts. Notthing done)

    3. Before the fact, an AG that was as effective as toilet paper...and didn't want to do anything pollical before the election. WHY?? The GOP does it ALL the time. Nope, total PC spinless investigations and responses.

    4. After the fact, they blamed Biden and each other...in a circular firing squad. Pathetic. Again, nothing done...nothing contested.

    5. They ALL gave up!!! No protests, No noting of shenanigans, which there WERE. Nope, submit. Kept quiet. Pathetic. No fight, No will, spineless complacency. Would the GOP do this?? NO!! they'd spit fire and brimstone.

    6. And now, calmly telling everyone to just be docile. Except it all. Deny the FACT that there were interferences and other questionable things. Just hand over the key. Bend over and take it in the ass.

America deserves to be a 3rd world nation, IF it continues to exist at all...or isn't renamed to Trumpvainyia. or Empire of Trump.
With Alaska given to the Russians, in exchange for Greenland???

I've said it for years and all the time.
The GOP is the insane party.
The Dems are the spineless party.

Just absurd, the acquiescence I'm seeing.
And just as absurd, the "oh well" attitude of many, even Dems...saying we lost, it must be true, we've got to be PC about it...and we shouldn't rock the boat...and there's no way that there was any questionable activities.
Like the numbers and everything we WERE seeing from MOST non-biased media was just an illusion...and they MUST have gotten it all wrong, because...

    I say BULLSHIT !!!
And it's the SAME bullshit that Chump and his cronies have done since the start. (Anyone remember when he had the whole Russian VIPs in the White House celebrating in the oval office when he took over the first time????)

No, because most people are unaware, oblivious, don't see what's right in front of them...and forget everything that's happened.

And this time BRIC got it totally right...a clean slate for the GOP and MAGA...no resistance capable anywhere.
What you think the damn filibuster will do anything???
    Fools.

    And yes, I'm PISSED.
Because this is the time to fight, those who are SUPPOSED to fight! (normal citizens can't, we don't have power)
But nooooo...they're all moping around with their tails between their legs.
Fuckin' even Albert Gore fought harder than this. (until SCOTUS pulled a fast one on him)

    Just pathetic.
    I can't say it enough.

And like the GOP should go to Hell for their activities and attitudes.
The Dems should be exiled to Limbo for their meh, cowardly lack of action.

Me. Sooner or later...I'm going to Portugal. I was planning it anyway before all this BS.
Simply to make exploring the rest of the world easier. I've already done North & South America up and down. Something completely different, I'm bored in the Americas now.

But that doesn't make me NOT angry, at the loss of what should have been a no brainer. (voters, you're complicit too...to vote for an insane idiot)
And all the damage I know will be done with him at the helm and all the howling ultra right putting in THEIR laws, with no compromise.
(and Yes, I know more than most...I have connections from my years working in the government...I know what REALLY happened and what ALMOST happened, but they stopped it. They all tell me, not outright...but in sidespeak, because they may be recorded...for REAL)

And it will be 3 times as worse now, as before...
But many forget even that. Ostriches with heads in the sand.

As a white guy with a business, they'll leave me alone. (not that I like this at all, I want equality for all)
And as an international digital nomad, they'll won't find me, if they did. (it's a big world, I'm a blip)

So good luck America...y'all going to need it.

And the Dems...you all can take a long walk off a short pier. And be soaked and sopping wet for real, like you all are NOW.
    Fuck off Dems.
Just absurd. Can't say it enough.

    End rant.
    I'm outie.

    Peace and be well. :)

I mostly agree with your assessment.

I do think The Average Citizen can take action against Verruckterfuhrer, but discussing some of those actions in a public forum isn't wise.

Some comments, & some questions for you:

You believe voting fraud occurred. What do you think happened? What should be done about it?

Was Musk's stunt allowed by a court? What else could've been done in such a short time?

MAGA has many of their candidates elected. How do you suggest we fight them? How do we oppose the Project 2025 actions that will be coming, & the ones already started?

Setting aside the possibility of voter fraud, the voters have voted. They want Verruckterfuhrer, or at least think they do. The majority of voters in the USA are shit-for-brains morons.

Yes, very much there was fraud. But the Dems aren't battling it at all. Totally complacent. There's nothing we can do.
Musk was sued, but it never got to court. NADA could be done, given the pace of the courts.
Can't fight it. We don't have the power. Unless you suggest a class-action lawsuit. But with this many GOP in the majority, it's a moot point.

That's why I'm pissed, the Dems just bent over on took it. No fight whatsoever.

I spend a lot of time in hard left, minority, and disability circles.
I can tell you that a lot of them voted for Uncle Joe last time and just didn't vote this time.
Also Muslims and the Arab community in general didn't turn out. Some did and voted down ballot but not for president. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar easily won their districts.
So many of them were pissed off about what is happening in Israel and don't feel that the felon/rapist can do any worse.
Personally I think that's going to be a case of him saying, "Hold my beer." but that's the way they feel and I understand it.

She needs to take responsibility for her bullshit.
The main reason people didn't want her in the first place is she reads as a cop, at least in the circles I hang out in.
She shouldn't have spent her precious little time hanging out with Republicans and saying she was going to stick with Uncle Joe's platform.
Which is basically 50's Republican without the direct racism. Institutional will stay the same of course. That's too hard to fix and makes people mad.
She picked a running mate who got famous for being a populist and talking straight to the working folk.
But after his introduction and the debate with the fake hillbilly, we didn't hear from him again. At least not talking about things that mattered.
People voted for the felon/rapist because food and rent is killing them. All the Vice President had to do was show some empathy.
Look into the camera and say, "I know this sucks. We are going to do everything we can to fix it. Here are some ways."

    @redravin ...often we're in sync...but I'll respectfully disagree now.

Frankly, I think the US is mad crazy ...and the Dems are feckless. (and spineless)

It wasn't her, it was because she was a "her". And otherwise, racially.
Face fact, the US is a racist misogynistic nation who likes a strongman.

Biden was a scapegoat. They just didn't want to stick with "old". And Biden showed old more than Chump.
And finally, people voted their pocketbooks...inflation killed Biden/Harris as much as Covid-19 killed Chump's last go at it.

The rest is just semantics...and rationalization.
    ,
It's a Jr. High School election, with the douchebag QB vs. another icky smart girl. (same diff as the election with Hillary)

We're not intellectual overall, we're elemental.

And that's what many of the Founding Fathers were worried about.
And the reason the EC was created...that's just been warped from its original intent and corrupted over time.

Now, it's not the big states that have the sway...it's the small states, overloading the Senate and EC
    And pure GOP audacity.

    Nah...let's get cynical about this.
People are essentially Id level when it comes to voting, they votes with their "gut". (most peeps I know, don't know squat on the issues at hand...they don't keep track, it's not IRL to them)

And their "gut" went with the strongman con.

From what I've been hearing, in all circles...there's no logic. (left, right, middle and all points in-between)
And they do not relate the vote for the person at the top with all the other policy, departments and agenda. Makes no sense whatsoever what I'm hearing.

Almost like a person who says they are into science...then brings up spiritualism in the same topic. They don't see the disconnect.

Mostly name recognition. (some didn't even know Biden wasn't running...and didn't know Harris)

    Politics is elemental.
and that's one thing Chump gets right...and has been right about since before he started.
    I just hoped for better.
    We're not.

But, when you shoot yourself in the foot...as the US has just done.
    It could be a graze.
It could be a mess, with blood all over the place.
It could be an infection, and have to cut off a foot.
Or it could be worse, the patient may die.

    We'll see.
    Anything goes right now.
And no rationalization is going to change that.

@rogue49 Oh, I agree the Dems fucked this one up big time and they are making it worse in the aftermath.
There is a bunch of them running around saying that the Dems have to give up the LGBTQ+ stuff because it hurts them.
Well, almost 25% of Zoomers and 18% of Millennials count themselves as LGBTQ+.
They are writing off a fuckton of the next generation.

The people who went with the felon/rapist were #ffffff men and women, mostly the boomer and Xers.
The only other group to vote for him in any numbers to count was Hispanic men.
I think you were right about some people not being able to handle a woman as president but race had a lot to do with it to.
