    Woman and I crushed a double workout today plus abs. Over an hour of non-stop action... with sweat and cursing. So goddamn tired. Best part was both of us crawling up the stairs to shower, then crawling out the door to go get pudding at Wegman's.

    Worked out Friday, then worked put this morning. Legs today. Started with front squats, then a couple sets of back squats. Dumbbell lunges. Leg extensions, leg curls, squats. I kicked my own ass.

    That's what I was wondering. We've had a few Sunday mornings like that without even getting out of the house.;) And, fortunately, no stairs to the shower to wash off the Mazola oil.:rolleyes:

    Mrs. Lance & I joined a nice gym near our home. It's extremely well equipped. After an almost 3 year absence from regular workouts, we're back at it. I am sore as hell.

    I'm using this lifting app called "Stronglifts 5x5." It gets great reviews. It seems pretty good, anyone have any experience with it?

    ^^^Haven't used the app, but I've used the workout for a few months and had pretty good results, strengthwise.

    Was only able to bench 320 for 9 last night and 355 for 3. Doing a lot more warm up stuff though. Hopefully my joints will thank me, even if my bench regresses a bit.

    SL 5x5 is a great beginner workout. The app just helps organize things, but I've only seen it in use once. 5x5 was what I was going to go with before I picked a different workout. Great reviews all around from what I've seen.

    I got a later start last night than I would've liked, so I decided to do higher weights and lower reps. Holy shit. I felt like I could've flexed and Hulk'd off my shirt...then I walked home and could barely raise my arms above my head. This morning, I'm a pleasant kind of sore.

    Was going to squat last night, but my left foot decided to painfully swell up. "Pre-arthritic condition", says my Dr. "Ouch", says I. Will try again tonight. Had to soak it in hot water and painfully massage and manipulate the crap out of it. It's merely sore today.

    Squats went well yesterday. Lots of warmup and stretching, including upperbody. Top set of 425 for 5 and I was comfortable below parallel. Woot. Foot feels much better.

    My warmup is starting to look like a workout of it's own, but it's all light weight, or bands, and lots of reps. Helps these old joints quite a bit.

    Sex? Only by myself. My wife got a new puppy, so most cuddling is being done without me. I'm fairly useless after squats anyway.
