DAKA DOING VERY NICELY, THANK YOU

This morning on TV SUNDAY MORNING, Charles Osgood...there was a section on fake wines, Oh boy, here is what I think.......there is a part in the movie (new version) THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR where in the end Rene Russo (HOT) is taking to Dennis Leary asking if he will investigate the theft of a panting from the museum his reply is CLASSIC "Swirls of paint really only important to some silly rich people I don't give a damn"

Or have I opened a can of worms?

I like wine. I love good wine.

But if a wine is valuable enough to be counterfeited, it is probably above my price range. :p

The most I've ever paid for a bottle of wine was about $40. It's a very special wine, though. The winery was remarkable--every single one of their reds had a strong terroir. There was this beautiful herbaceous note running through every wine we tried there, and it was incredible. I'm looking forward to drinking it some day--they recommended cellaring for another couple of years. My patience will run out eventually, though.

There's a sweet spot with wine, I think. Pay too little, and the wines are industrial products. Pay too much, and you're just getting ripped off.
