Who has ever done an Adventure Race?

    My racing partner and I are running in one this weekend in the Francis Marion Nat'l Forest. Marion, better known as the "Swamp Fox" during the American Revolution. This is the swamp fox adventure race. 12 hrs ocean kayaking, biking and trail running through the swamps.....

    Good luck and let us know how it goes. Adventure races are a whole different animal... Even when you don't finish you will often walk away feeling accomplished.

    As my partner and I are the oldest by about 8 to 10 yrs when we race, finishing is an accomplishment. Our goal is usually a top ten finish. The pic on the left is from a 26 hr race in the Mtns last year. I made it 18 hrs there before bike problems and exhaustion put me out of the race. Didn't feel too bad later only 34 of 112 racers finished.
