    Post up your wildlife photos!

I'll start with a few from my trip to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC earlier this week. Apologies for the Photobucket compression, it does the 7D and 70-200 f/2.8L combination no justice.

One of the most photogenic creatures IMO.

I snapped these last winter. The buck is looking slightly to my right because there was a 120lb beast I call my best friend rooting around in the snow looking for sticks. Stanley, my four legged buddy, had no clue these deer were a mere 50-60 yards away from us. And surprisingly, they weren't terribly afraid that he (and I) were so close. I actually entered a few pics from this series into our local county fair and won cash prizes for them.

Other shots from the same park, also with Stanley along:

This beast was captured by a trail camera on the land I hunt on. Unfortunately we've never met in person!

We were in Northern Wisconsin for a long weekend. We rented a beautiful cabin in the woods. One morning my wife heard a soft "thud", and Stanley ran on to the deck. This poor guy was sitting there stunned. About 20-30 seconds after this pic was snapped, he came to, and flew off like nothing happened.

Really enjoying all the wildlife pics in this thread, Bear Cub and Borla. Love to see more.

I singled out this pic because it looks like a game of capture the flag from MW3.

Then I thought, "Reindeer Games!" :)

Keep up the good work, guys.

Great shots, RJ! I see you were using a T3, what lens were those bird shots taken with?

They were taken with my 75-300 mm lens. I had to keep the focus on manual because the auto wouldn't focus on the bird. :) That's why the third picture is so blurry. :(

Pretty darn good out of some budget glass! Great detail in the wings.

Thank you, those are actually the cropped and post processed shots. Without them being cropped, I felt like the attention wasn't on the bird. :) Let me see if I can get an original up...

Found this little guy at my parents house the other week. I think it might be a baby rat but the jury is still out. Some people are thinking some kind of marsupial.

The last couple of springs a pair of doves has made a nest in a hanging basket on the front of our house. Last year the eggs never hatched, which I understand to be common with doves.

This year they did hatch. Both baby doves appear to be doing fairly well despite he cold weekend. It is supposed to be warm this week, so maybe they'll both make it.

And apparently they both are doing fine and are going to make it.

Came home to this greeting this morning.

On a trip to Tennessee back in 2005, I ran across a snail. (not pictured)

On my return to Tennessee, I ran across ANOTHER snail! (pictured)

It's been over a decade, but given the fact that he wasn't in any particular hurry, this might be the same snail. ;)
