1. We've had very few donations over the year. I'm going to be short soon as some personal things are keeping me from putting up the money. If you have something small to contribute it's greatly appreciated. Please put your screen name as well so that I can give you credit. Click here: Donations

In a "strongly worded" report...and a "a bit" of sarcasm mixed in, Dave Berry gives his typically hilarious review of the year...
    THERE'S JUST NO EXPLAINING 2014

Me? I just like reading the best headlines from Fark. (I always seem to miss voting, but I didn't this year)
    • What your thoughts about the year??
    • What affected you?
    • What personal things you'd like to note?

Personally, my year was just as crazy as the one described in Mr. Berry's above.
I could never get a handle on it...stupid and surreal things kept happening.

I was affected more than I would think by the untimely demise of Robin Williams.
His work, words and style were a part of who I am.

    2014...things are "getting better",
but world is still tilted, spinning and making you dizzy.
Can't get our bearings straight yet.

    What about you??

2014 was pretty awesome. We moved on from school into our careers. My husband has a good job that is a commutable distance from his hometown/my adopted hometown after we got to spend a summer in the Big City for a temporary contract. That was tons of fun, and it served as an eye-opening experience for my husband, who'd never really lived in the city or suburbs before; he thought he'd hate it, but ultimately, we really had a great time. My work's been going well, as has his, and we've got a pretty active, fun social life. We're able to get by on one income, which is good since my income is limited to 9 months of the year and is highly unpredictable. Our family has been an enormous help this year, and we really couldn't have done the things we've done without their support.

I'm really interested to see what 2015 has in store.

  3. Well, I had a baby and she's pretty amazing. That affected me quite a bit.

For Your Fun...A Year in the best political cartoon. - Link
    Deslided for your sanity

I would have done it in politics...but since this is the year in review,
it's a good remind of the silliness.

Puts our own BS in perspective.
    And the good stuff too.

Year in Pictures for 2014, not as political...but definitely reflective...both good & bad...some amazing and beautiful.
Link (deslided, compliments of the WP)

Puts it in perspective...we're lucky, but still a roller-coaster all the same.

    I want a year like @ZombieSquirrel :)

    Life, it's a maze
Who thought up all this stuff? I want to speak with the mgmt.

C'est la vie...on to the next one...

You know I was pretty fucking down on 2014 for obvious reasons but reading that made me realize just how cool it was in many ways.
    Thanks for reminding me.

I am pretty nonplussed by 2014.

I am happy to see the back of it.

While I'm grateful for making it through 2014, it was a pretty rough year. More downs than ups if I'm honest. My studies proved testing and ended up putting additional strain on my marriage. The additional strain (fortunately or unfortunately) exposed some other issues that we're now working through.

2015 doesn't look like it's going to be any easier, but 2014 pretty much sucked.
