This is a celebratory thread. It's a place to post when you've finished something you really didn't want to do. It's a lot like rogue49 's thread, except in reverse.

After making post after post the past few days in that other thread, complaining about the midterm that I didn't want to deal with... I have finished!!! Yay!!!

    What have you finished?

I think this counts. I'm kind of proud of it.

Our webmail deployment didn't have any language support apart from English. I spent part of this afternoon looking into how to make it happen. We now support a multitude of languages, including French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese and Korean. Took a few hours of my time and quite a bit of digging to make it work how it's supposed to, but I got it done and felt like a badass afterwards.

It's pretty cool when a customer complains about a feature not being available at 1:00, and we have that feature rolled out by 5:00.

I finally gave up my fun car, my Mustang GT convertible for a sensible car. It was just cruel cramming my 6'4" son in the back of the 'stang when the occasion rose. Plus 2 dogs and several trips to Ontario each year was just not working. It's now a Mercury Milan--better gas mileage but much roomier, airbags up the wazoo & car insurance only went up $1 a month (for a 2011).
It was painful but it had to be done.

I stuck a bridge on my oud and it is tuned up to pitch and has remained stable for 10 days.
I've dared to send out my birthday party invites. I only have to deal with the notion of actual people .. arriving on the two days.
I've told some home truths to my best friend about things I'm happy to put up with (cos I don't have to live with the clumsy, dangerously forgetful bugger), but which are seriously risking him losing his lady.

Cleaned out one of the kids rooms, (filled three trash cans) two more to go.
It's been two years since the 2nd oldest moved out and four years since the oldest moved out (boys).
My youngest who is going to be 22, moved out last month, but not to Tennessee. Her room is the worst. I will need a dump truck. :D

I prepped the patio soil and 5 pots for planting. :) I also planted seeds for green onions, sunflowers, and some kale. Hoping they don't get washed away if we get a little storm like it seems like we might..

I've also packed up about half of the things I want to take home with me during my clinical and have finalized my schedule for Wednesday so I can get that done.

I finally finished my Shakespeare essay on the play Measure for Measure.

Took me 27 sources, 11 pages of writing in the past 24 hours and an allnighter, but I'm done.

    KAMPAI! *drinks*

Now to develop the three printing press concepts I was asked to create...

It's been a less than stellar weekend, with me trying to cover this project while a co-worker's on vacation,
but of course, this is when every that could go wrong does...no fault of my own...but I'm still disoriented on a unfamiliar environ.
Exhausted, I've been laying around, trying to recover from the overnights.

Well, I finally got off my ass, did some laundry, a load of dishes...and I actually vacuumed and steam-cleaned most of the rug.
    Productive...a really decent task.

**Only at the end I destroyed my $300 steam-cleaner trying to be more "efficient" and using boiling hot water from the teapot.
-- It melted the plastic. Pure genius...

Oh too funny, caught my husband boiling water about a year ago in the teapot, was getting ready to pour into the steam cleaner. Lordy what were you thinking. :D

But on the other hand, kudos to you for trying to help.
