Ever feel like everyone likes something and you don't?

This is the place to vent.

I'll start: I really don't care for podcasts.

They remind me of talk radio, which I also don't like. If I'm going to be listening to something, it's going to be music. Music lights my fire. Hearing people jabber on about topics, even subjects I enjoy, simply bores me.

I don't want to endure someone else's inside jokes or pacing in which whatever they're discussing could have been written out in a document I could have taken a few minutes to read instead of being a captive audience for 30+ minutes.

I'm with you on the podcasts. I've listened to exactly 2 in my life, both done by one of my best buddies who is a financial planner.

Risotto.
Why is this a popular dish?
I just find it boring beyond belief.
I get excited about going to nice restaurants because we don't get to do it that often. Then I see someone there order risotto......

 

The only time I get excited about a rice dish is rice pilaf, which I like loaded with the ingredients that aren't rice. Some rice casserole dishes are good...when they're loaded with other ingredients.

Sci-Fi. It doesn't hold my interest reading it. When I watch it, & read it, the plot needs to move quickly and I don't want to have to keeps notes of too many characters & sub-plots.
