I've watched the first two episodes of the new Dallas, and I found it ok. Mostly I liked it because I like Patrick Duffy and Jordana Brewster.
I'm surprised Larry Hagman is still around and kicking. I'm glad to see he brought all of his acting chops back to make JR his old devious self.

Anybody else watching the new series?

Btw, CMT is showing a marathon of the old Dallas series today.
Not sure if they will add the old series to their line-up, or not.

    Isn't Dallas a soap opera?

    ...does Fremen have a job?

The only episode of either series I watched was the "who shot JR" season opener. I was at a party in the woods and one of my friends fell off a large rock and needed sutures. I was in the waiting room when it was on. After the show finished, I looked behind me and I think the entire staff of the hospital was standing there.

To answer the question, no. No interest.

I used to love Dallas. There was a marathon on TNN when I was nannying a wee baby one summer just out of high school. Every day from early in the morning until well into the afternoon, Dallas was on. My mom laughed so hard when she heard what I'd been watching at work. I've been meaning to watch the new episodes. At least it might be entertaining.

  5. I used to love Dallas as well, however I refuse to follow any eposodic TV series where I need to faithfully watch each week's show. Even with a DVR I don't want to be tied to that type of viewing habit.
