Do pick up lines even work any more? I would think that "nerdy" or "geek" pick up lines would actually work against you unless under a very specific situation.

 

Is it OK to use "If I were an enzyme, I would be helicase so I could unzip your genes" if she just got her master's in microbiology? I need to know right now before I send this text message.

 

See now that is proper use of a pick up line. It's in context, the subject gets it because it's her field. I say carry on good sir. This can only end in win for you.
